| OK, my dear. I had to drop in and leave you a note because I've heard about some of the trouble you've had over this one. Please don't let it bother you overmuch. Just because some take things a bit too seriously for their own good does not make their opinions any more valuable than someone who gets the joke. This was entertaining in the extreme and yes, hot. No, of course Frodo would not be a rentboy and Sam would not pay him for sex - but damn! it was fun to read and I thank you for allowing me (among others) to spend a short interlude within the realm of your unique imagination. I happened to be chatting with Shadow while I read this and I made the comment that you are able to come up with these scenarios that, if someone gave me a summary and didn't tell me you were the author, I'd scoff and roll my eyes. But somehow, you are able to make these things work for the amount of time it takes to read your pieces. I confess to being stuck in book-verse myself and admire anyone with the imagination to carry off unique ideas and AU's. | |
