Hi Jeodo, Sorry for posting this here but no-one has been able to get in touch with you! I nominated your story "Weatherwise" for a MEFA and the time for you to accept and finalise your nomination is running out! You only have until midnight Sunday, 22nd July, to get in touch with someone and do your form. Here is a forwarded message from them: "If you did not know you were nominated or thought you were done with these stories, please contact mefasupport(at)gmail(dot)com ASAP so I can help you get your story ready to compete." So hurry! Hope that all is well with you - I've e-mailed you a few times and got no reply. Hugs, L

Well, I came away from your challenge 9 story to this one, and I have to say that it is just about the most perfect pre-Quest adventure I have ever read. A ramble about the Shire with just enough mishaps to make it exciting, and absolutely spot-on characterizations. I have to say that *any* story that lets Frodo give Lotho S-B exactly what's coming to him is bound to rank high in my estimation. And there were other lovely touches, as well: the cameo appearance of Radagast, the fortune teller, Merry and the lasses--oh, just lovely! Thanks for such a nice, long, rambling read! Now I'll have to make time for your other stories!

I just got this story off of Marigold's Recommendations page. I'm really glad she did, because I believe this is one of the best hobbit stories I have ever read! You did wonderfully writing all the characters! I loved it! I hope to be able to get to your sequel soon! Thank you!!

I loved this so much! I found my way here via Marigold's Rec's, and just spent the *best* past few hours! The way you write Merry, especially, and how he's torn between his cousins is perfect. You capture so many facets--that he loves Pippin, but is sometimes annoyed by him, and is sometimes a bit bratty about it--so lovely.

Awww Jeodo! What a beautiful Shire you have built for us there! I loved every minute of it. Our hobbits were true to their characters. One can really discern all the important character details of the hobbits we already know so well from the quest, while they growing up in your story.I loved the way you captured their respectful ages and how this played an important role in moulding their relationship. I really adored Pippin. You described his age and personality with great love and sweetness I loved all the other hobbits too like Rosie as strongwilled and smart as I thought her to be and LSBaggins a miracle of stiffness and meaness. What can I say ...I wanted to sit with them and eat of the splendidly described meals and play their games...I really laughed my heart out with the Pip hosting Lobelia scene... Well done, well done!!! I'll go check the rest of your stories posted in here. naias
