  Reconciliation by Larner

Review:  Read | Post

A sequel of sorts to "The Acceptable Sacrifice." There was great hurt given to Captain Peregrin Took by his father the last time Pippin visited the Great Smial from Crickhollow. Sir Meriadoc Brandybuck, on the other hand, hasn't been properly forthcoming to his parents about his experiences, and they've felt pressed to the ends of their abilities to understand. And the Lord Samwise Gamgee must come to terms with the loss of his beloved Master and with the fact he is now himself Master of Bag End and heir to all Frodo had and might have had, done and might have done. Reconciliation is needed.

Five things that never happened to Lily Proudfoot by Cuthalion

Review:  Read | Post

I have encountered the "Five things that never happened..."-idea several times in fanfiction. And after I had written "In the Darkness of my Dreaming", this hit me from behind, so to speak. Well then... I guess this is what "Aratlithiel" really wanted when she asked for an alternate ending of my tale "Before I go to sleep". For here Lily gets everything she ever wanted... even if this never really happened. (And the warmest thanks to my lovely, supportive beta Ariel!)
